(Columbia, SC) — Lawrence Moore has announced his candidacy for the District 52 House seat, citing his many years of experience as an activist in that community and around the state.
Moore is no stranger to the Statehouse and has given testimony for or against many bills over the years, and spoken at numerous rallies on the Statehouse grounds.
“I want to help build a stronger, more inclusive economy,” he said, “that supports every family, every worker, and every future in out district.”
Moore says he is running to defend the rights and freedoms of every citizen, without compromise. He says he will serve with purpose and accountability, and will stay informed and connected, so that everyone’s voice will be heard and respected.
Moore made the announcement during a campaign gathering at Big T’s BBQ Thurs. and previously at the Richland Co. Voter Registration Office.
District 52 covers lower Richland Co. including Hopkins, and a portion of Kershaw Co. including Elgin.
